In 2009, Breaking the Mould – A Story of Art and Ireland was published by New Island Publishing. It is a book about the cultural milieu of an emerging modern Ireland in the 1960’s and 70’s, focusing on the visual arts scene and the career of the author’s father, the sculptor Edward Delaney.


In 2001, An Accidental Diplomat was published, also with New Island Publishing. It gives an account of the author’s experience in the diplomatic service, working with the European Community, the United Nations and on the Northern Ireland peace process in the 1990’s.


In 1995, The Casting of Mr O’Shaughnessy, a comic novel about the world of public art and commemorative sculpture, was published by Bloomsbury in London. In 2002, the acclaimed novel was re-issued with New Island Publishing.
