Anti-British attacks on Allsops are ridiculous. It’s our own banks forcing property sales- and it’s the free market at work



Again, there came to mind images of the 19th Century, when often it was not the Saxon foe but the canny natives who profited most from their neighbours’ distress.

Remember the Irish farmers who consolidated their farms after the Famine, having exported foodstuffs during it.

But then, this is the way of commerce and a free market the world over, is it not?  You take the ups with the downs. And, after all, under the fast-track Allsops method, many sellers will have been relieved to have disposed of properties and assets that they could not otherwise shift.
